Abstract :
The author proposed an algorithm for model-based failure detection and isolation (FDI) in dynamic systems that performs the FDI with two separate subprocessors, a detector and an isolator. The algorithm modifies current structured and direction-fixed FDI methods, facilities FDI design, and, in many cases, has less computational complexity than one-step techniques
