  • Abstract
    This paper presents the design of a HF antenna integrated within aircraft Vertical Tail Plane (VTP) by using virtual prototyping. The design task is carried out with a numerical solver based on FDTD which was validated for analysis but also for design and optimization purposes. An accurate virtual antenna model to achieve a successful result is chosen and a real prototype antenna is built and measured.
