Abstract :
A transmission line model used to design a meander-line inverted F antenna (MIFA) at the frequency of 2.45 GHz, is showed in this paper. The antenna was obtained using a simple iterative method based on transmission line model which consider inductive or capacitive loadings adopted to quickly design the antenna. With reference to a meander antenna, this paper highlights the computational improvement achievable by applying a transmission line model to the definition of an initial geometry, to be numerically optimized, the sizes of which are nearly to the final ones. A prototype manufactured in order to demonstrate the reliability of the model, and the measurements show good agreements with the simulated model.
