Abstract :
The reliable stabilization of linear, time-invariant, multi-input multi-output control systems using a two-controller configuration is considered. For any given plant, a method of designing two controllers which maintain closed-loop stability both when working together and when acting independently is developed. For stable plants, the authors develop a method for the decomposition of a given stabilizing controller into the sum of two controllers which provide reliable stabilization
