Abstract :
In this paper, the authors present the results of an international research project, which took place in Athens, Greece and was jointly undertaken by the Landis & Gyr Corporation and the Greek electricity supply utility, PPC (Public Power Corporation). The pilot project showed the feasibility of reliable power line communications in the Athens area and the advantages for both PPC and its customers from the application of this technology
