Abstract
Since the idea of interactive TV has evolved and the obvious additional value of this development occurred, several platforms were realized - each with different file formats and different philosophies of implementation. Worldwide, these platforms are widespreaded, through advantages and disadvantages of each platform, difficulties of the technical realisation and political debates. Furthermore there are other information technologies like the internet and mobile networks, which are providing the user sources of information. This paper presents an XML-based authoring framework for the creation of interactive applications for multiple platforms, while the author needs no knowledge of any details or peculiarities of the desired target platform.
