Abstract :
To achieve high-performance speed control of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs), the influence of iron loss cannot be neglected as the increase of driving frequency with high-speed operation. This paper describes the vector control of PMSMs with on-line parameter measurement based on the voltage equations taking account of the stator iron loss. The vector control is achieved by nonlinear state feedback to decouple the interference of dq axes through the stator iron loss resistance in transient conditions. However, parameter variations make the control performance worse because the control system is based on the voltage equations. Therefore, parameters of the vector controller are identified to achieve the vector control of PMSMs in which the machine parameters vary
