Abstract
There is an increasing trend in global software development, where different parts of a software product are being developed in different organisations. The process aspect of such a distributed development environment is particularly important in order to ensure communication and coordination between the teams in different organisations. However different organisations may use different notations in modelling their software development processes. The paper addresses the issue on how to integrate models defined using different notations. The paper presents the initial results from a prototype of a unified process support framework that allows teams to define their process models using different notations. The framework integrates the models into a unified representation to facilitate communication and coordination.
