Abstract :
In this paper, we present new methods for evaluating students´ answerscripts using fuzzy numbers associated with degrees of confidence, where the satisfaction levels given by the evaluator awarded to the questions of the students´ answerscripts are represented by triangular fuzzy numbers associated with degrees of confidence between zero and one. The arithmetic operations between the alpha -cuts of fuzzy numbers are used to evaluate the total mark of each student, where the value of a is between zero and one. The proposed methods can evaluate the answerscripts of students in a more flexible and more intelligent manner than the existing methods.
