Abstract
The design of a single controller that simultaneously stabilizes two nonconcentric balls of SISO (single-input single-output) plants is considered. This is done by using the normalized left coprime factor plant description H ∞-bounded uncertainty to characterize each plant ball. Necessary conditions for solving this problem are developed and used to provide a computationally tractable controller synthesis procedure
