Abstract
The problem of robust stability in linear systems with parametric uncertainties is addressed. A novel method based on the field of values of a matrix is used to determine the stability of state-space models with parametric uncertainty. If the uncertainty is expressed as the convex hull of certain k matrices, the proposed method requires much less computational effort than the value set. In some cases the result is the best possible
