  • Abstract
    A novel sensor called CGVPI (Coupler for Global VPI) has been developed for simple mounting on Global VPI surface of small rotating machines without deterioration of insulation system. Even for large rotating machines of individual VPI insulation, CGVPI can be a cost effective option by tremendously reducing the sensor installation process. This paper describes the laboratory test results of the sensor. In addition, the on-line partial discharge sensor called Ceramic Coupler is introduced.
