Abstract :
The paper presents a sampled-data based modeling approach for stability analysis of inductive integrated DC/DC converters including the control system. The model is built systematically and predicts possible sub-harmonic instabilities, period doubling and state bifurcations. It comes as an efficient tool for an IC designer and can be integrated easily inside the design flow. A step-down buck DC/DC converter is considered to illustrate the agreement between predictions and real converter behavior.
