Abstract :
A dual band reconfigurable Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) cavity backed slot antenna is presented with dual states. A prototype of the SIW cavity backed slot antenna is fabricated and tested. PIN diodes have been used as a switching device to achieve the re-configurability with dual band operation. The SIW antenna has been tested in the outdoor test range and the measured and simulated characteristics are presented and discussed. The measurement results show good matching with the simulated one.
