Abstract
The article presents the results of part of an empirical survey developed through the study of multiple cases in the telecommunications and antenna sub-sectors of the electronics area. Thirteen projects were selected in twelve different organizations, eleven of which were Brazilian, and one, German. The results suggest that there are a number of similarities regarding management practices adopted by the sector, implying a trend towards consolidation of a typical management culture for the sector. Descriptions are presented and discussed regarding some of the main relationships between the planning process and project performance
