Abstract :
Summary form only as given. This paper describes a structured trade-off approach that was used to make a series of product design decisions. The decision scope ranged from those that required broad stakeholder involvement to decisions that could be made by an individual engineer. The methodology allows for the assessment of risk and facilitates updating the intuition of all stakeholders
