In this paper, the virtual organisation of R&D in Pharmaceuticals is studied. A virtual R&D organisation is designed to access the external knowledge and resources necessary for innovation. Different criteria are needed for managing the virtual organisation of research and of development activities. This is a key issue to ensure successful collaborations
