Abstract :
Because collaboration is necessary for an R&D team to work effectively, it is important to investigate collaboration in a team. First, a case study of developing a new type of detergent which was carried out over a long time span and with linking to other departments is made in detail and three types of collaboration are identified. Then some cases of interaction which were brought about in a relatively short time span are analyzed and, as a result, collaborative interactions are classified into two types according to the kinds of suggestions given
