Abstract
A waveguide-disk load commonly used in radar duplexers is analyzed theoretically. An expression for the input reflection coefficient of the load is derived and verified experimentally. On the basis of the theoretical analysis, it is shown that, for typical absorbers, the most important parameters responsible for matching are the diameter of the load and the height of the gap between the absorber and the junction.<>
