Abstract :
The work described in this paper is with an aim of developing a system to aid deaf-dumb people which translate the sign language recognition into text with static palm side of right hand images. The proposed work consist of a set of 32 combinations of binary number of sign and its identification with the help of image processing techniques which in turn is converted into text. The proposed method is implemented by using 320 samples of right hand palm sign images with 10 images for each sign. Experiments revealed that the system is able to recognize Indian Sign Language with 96.87% better accuracy.
