Abstract
A sliding mode-like fuzzy logic control (SMFC) algorithm for a class of high order nonlinear systems is presented. The fuzzy logic controller obtained is equivalent to a sliding mode controller. New adaptive laws for the parameters of the fuzzy logic system (FLS) are adopted in order to self-tune the so-called dead zone parameters. The robustness and the resistance ability to the external perturbations of systems are improved and the chattering of the sliding mode control (SMC) is eliminated. The simulation results of a numerical example show that the control algorithm is efficient and feasible.
