Abstract :
In this paper a Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA) for low power audio application is presented, which comprises bandgap reference, low drop-out voltage regulator (LDO), Common-Mode voltage generator, resistor array and operational transconductance amplifier (OTA). The PGA is implemented in SMIC 0.13 μm 1P8M CMOS process. The measurement results show that in 1 V power supply, 2.1 KHz input frequency and 200 mVp-p output, the Dynamic Range (DR) is 70 dB, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) is 63 dB, power consumption is 124 uW, meets the low power, high resolution audio application requirement.
