After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.

The concept of safety culture is relatively new in the project, especially in the construction industry; however, this concept is becoming more and more important due to its positive effects on ensuring the safety on the construction site. To gain a better understanding of the concept, this article gives an overview of “safety culture”, followed by a discussion of the highly related concepts of safety climate, safety system, and behavior-based safety, all of which can help us to understand the concept. This article also presents a conceptual model that has its roots firmly entrenched in pertinent academic and applied literature.
