Abstract :
This paper proposed a prejudgment based R peak detection algorithm. Based on the discrete wavelet transform (DWT), a low computation complex QRS prejudging step and a RR interval prejudgment mechanism are employed to locate the QRS complex and find the R peak. While keeping the detection accuracy, the algorithm reduces the DWT computation. The MIT/BIH database results show average sensitivity of 99.79% and positive prediction of 99.85%. Comparing to the DWT algorithm, the algorithm achieves 77.9% power reduction.
