  • Abstract
A 3-D finite-element formulation for computing electromagnetic and electrical parameters of microwave dielectric resonator (DR) devices is presented. A comparison of theoretical and experimental results shows the usefulness of the formulation. More accurate results could be obtained by using second-degree NEDELEC polynomials. The results should lead to the realization of a compact high-power bandpass elliptic filter using TM/sub 110/ parallelepiped DR modes, which have low loss and fewer spurious characteristics.<>
