Abstract :
The objectives and organisation of the national microelectronics program of Finland are reviewed. The program is active during 1987-1990 with total funding of $20 million US. It is composed of three main projects-VLSI design, silicon technology, and compound semiconductors-carried out in parallel. Some of the major achievements of the program during the first two years are discussed
