CASE (computer aided software engineering) software improves developer productivity and applications software quality compared with 4GL and 3GL technologies. Easier and less maintenance contributes to enhanced productivity, and partly reflects improvements to software reliability, accuracy and capability. Management priorities and practices also affect software production, with participative management styles proving most effective
