Abstract
This paper presents the development of wind farm models for design and verification of centralized voltage and frequency control strategies. First, a detailed model of wind turbine with permanent magnetic generator is established in Pscad / EMTDC simulation tool, and then it is extent to a simplified wind farm. Second, an overall wind farm level control strategy is designed and tested. At last, real time simulation results in the selected scenarios show a robust power control performance. The developed wind farm model is suitable and accurate for secondary power control analysis.
