Abstract :
A novel Coupled-Oscillator-Network (CON) is proposed in this paper with use of Composite Right/Left Handed (CRLH) T-line based Zero-Phase-Shifter (ZPS) for 60GHz oscillators. Verified by post-layout simulation in standard 65nm CMOS, the introduced ZPS can realize zero-phase coupling between adjacent oscillators at 60GHz with improved phase noise performance (1~2dB), power combination efficiency (82.5%) and locking range (50%) when compared to conventional CON coupled by T-line with resistors.
