Abstract
A novel control technique for the control of switching DC-DC converter, multilevel pulse train (MPT), is proposed and studied in this paper. MPT control scheme is simple and easy to design, with great control performance. Boost converter operating in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) is taken as an example to study the operation principle, voltage ripple analysis and control pulse combination analysis of MPT control scheme. Theory analysis, simulation results and experimental results show that MPT control method can reduce the ripple voltage observably under any operation conditions, compared with pulse train (PT) method.
