Abstract :
In this paper, the DC space charge measurement results obtained from 24 hours ageing of 1.2mm XLPE planar samples at 35 kV (∼30 kV/mmdc) with four different temperature conditions (i.e. 25°C, 50°C, 70°C and 90°C) are reported. Emphasis has been placed on comparing the space charge characteristics of the XLPE plaque at different temperatures under DC ageing conditions. The effects of sample degassing on space charge dynamics at different temperatures are also be presented.
