Abstract :
We demonstrate an optical reconfigurable 1:N protection system which uses the branch state of LiNbO/sub 3/ optical switches and results in high availability of a spare route in the network. Reliable operations on restoration and re-configuration for a 10 Gb/s signal are confirmed.
