Abstract :
ATM/IP over WDM ring with optical layer protection is proposed and demonstrated. Traffics are 1+1 protected ATM OC-48c and a low priority part-time IP traffic. A very fast protection time is experimentally verified by both physical layer and ATM layer test results.
