Abstract :
This paper deals with design and optimization of RF band pass filter in the terms of used passive components. Genetic algorithm is used in the optimization loop due to its favorable properties in the terms of representation approach to an individual. Mathematical model of the filter based on cascaded two ports, usage of genetic algorithm and the cost function creation are also presented. Comparison of optimization process results and conventional design algorithm results are presented and discussed at the end of paper.
