Summary form only given as follows. This paper introduces the development tendency of the information super-highway, the construction of a national information infrastructure and the application systems of the information super-highway in China recently. The paper analyzes the influence of the information super-highway and the social informationization development tendency on circulation, communication, business, education, industry distribution, city structure, social development, human electronic civilization, etc. Some of the influences mentioned in this paper have happened in mainland China, and others will appear in China soon. They can be used as the support materials for decision makers in business and investment, or for the policy makers of government and social development researchers
