Abstract :
Experimental and analytic results show that imperfections in the output demultiplexer of a WDM system cause significant crosstalk between WDM channels. Pass band flatness, polarization-dependent loss, and channel isolation are critical, and currently are not specified adequately for high-capacity digital CATV systems.
