Abstract :
A tunable dispersion compensation device based on a virtually-imaged phased-array technology with greater than 50 nm optical bandwidth is demonstrated and compared to DCF in a WDM experiment transmitting 16/spl times/10 Gb/s NRZ signals over 6/spl times/80 km of conventional fiber.
