Abstract
A phase-shifted power converter realizes zero-voltage-switching with the use of the leakage inductor of the main transformer; however, the realization of ZVS for the lagging bridge leg is difficult. This paper proposes a current enhancement principle and, based on which, a novel phase-shifted power converter is proposed which adds an auxiliary resonant network to the conventional full-bridge power converter to help the lagging bridge leg to realize ZVS. The principles and parameter design of this novel power converter are analyzed, and simulation results verify the principle.
