Abstract :
A refinement to QFD methodology is proposed and illustrated that directly takes into account design feature correlation and uses concepts from portfolio theory and decision theory to build a quantitative model of a design´s performance. Correlation in requirements and technology capabilities extend QFD analysis to form a decision making aid. A simple example is used to illustrate the concept of design feature dominance
