Abstract :
A new cone-beam reconstruction algorithm for general orbits is presented. The algorithm is derived from an exact analytical inversion formula and has the form of a shift-variant filtered backprojection (FBP), so that each cone-beam projection can be completely processed as soon as it has been measured. The implementation of the algorithm for a two-orthogonal-circle orbit is discussed, and images reconstructed from simulated data are presented
