Current state and research trends on business ecosystem

In this paper, the state of art of Business Ecosystem is explored. Along with the development of service science and computing technologies, the ubiquitous information service society is coming. The organization mode of enterprises is being deeply reformed. Service Oriented Enterprise and Business Ecosystem are new types of enterprise mode in the information service society. Several ecosystem analogies are introduced, and the connection between them are analyzed. The most recent developments of Business Ecosystem are discussed, and the shortcomings are explored. An architecture of Business Ecosystem is illustrated and several research prospects are proposed.
