Abstract
Disordered voice database is very useful for analyzing, evaluating patients´ disease conditions. According to pathological conditions of patients and characteristics of Mandarin speech, our database is composed of sustained vowel, words, sentences and poetry. The sustained vowel part contains the most common used six vowels in Mandarin speech. The words part contains ten simple words. The sentences part contains two five-word sentences and one seven- word sentence. The poetry part contains a popular ancient poetry. This database provides the GRBAS scale of all the voice samples evaluated by otolaryngologists. Furthermore, it also has necessary information including sex, age, and diagnostic conclusion. For some patients, laryngoscope photos are also included. Some common disordered parameters for sustained vowels are extracted for comparison with other database. This database is to provide some standard examples for both disordered voice study and Mandarin and English disordered voice comparison.
