Abstract :
This paper proposes performance models of configuration on management networks for digital switching systems. The system reports which are generated and forwarded to the management network are collected and analyzed. An algorithm is proposed to characterize the effective traffic volume. Based on the effective traffic volume, the link capacity can be planned and the end-to-end delay can be analyzed for a supposed network configuration. The performance models can be adjusted and applied to other similar networks
