Abstract :
Controlling chip is one of the keys of achieving many advanced manufacturing technologies. So it is necessary to set up the virtual display on cutting process integrated with real-time processing simulation of chip forming, curling and breaking. This paper, under the developing platform of VC++ and linked with WTK and OpenGL, analyzes and studies chip forming and breaking mechanism, then sets up its corresponding mathematical model. And finally the VR of chip forming and breaking had been achieved and proven by practical cutting parameters.
