Abstract
Small-signal models of quasi-resonant (QR) power converters with current-mode (multiloop) control are obtained by using state-space averaging. These models are used to perform a comparative study of the stability and dynamic performance of QR power converters with current-mode and with voltage-mode control. This study shows that in the case of QR power converters, current-mode control leads to similar advantages to those that occur in the case of PWM power converters
