Abstract
A severe nonlinearity of hydraulic pump system with switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive makes it hard to get a good control performance with a conventional PID controller. A novel instantaneous pressure control is presented in this paper. The proposed hydraulic pump system embeds instantaneous pressure controller and advanced current controller. Fuzzy logic based adaptive PID control strategy is developed according to the pressure error and its change ratio in the pressure loop. An advanced hysteresis current controller is adopted to compensate the nonlinearity of the SRM model. Experimental results show that the proposed hydraulic pump system has good load response.
