Abstract :
Certain recent publications report the use of switching power converters, supplied by photovoltaic arrays and employing positive feedback, as maximum power trackers. This paper explains the principle applied, and compares it to other known approaches. A simplified mathematical model that can be used for evaluation of the performance, is derived. Possible improvements are suggested
