Abstract :
This paper will propose the study of a the control of a coupled wind turbine to a stand alone electric generator based on other renewable energies and storage systems. In this study a new method has been investigated to design the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) in order to have a good efficiency with a simple approach. From the wind mill characteristics, in particular its power rate, we propose to drive the wind mill at optimal power by a dichotomy algorithm in association with the vector control of the asynchronous generator. Simulation results will be confronted to published results, issued from method developed by different authors. A test bench has also been carried out at reduced scale. The test bench will use a DSP (digital signal processor) board on which the new algorithm has been implemented. Software development has been carried out using Matlab-Simulink environment.
