Abstract :
The structure of a FREquency SHift decision-feedback equalizer (FRESH-DFE), an equalizer design based on the cyclostationary property of modulated signals, is obtained for a DS/CDMA system. The performance of FRESH-DFE is compared with the conventional DFE in a long code DS/CDMA System. Our simulation results show that the FRESH-DFE provides better performance in terms of the mean square error and the bit error rate (BER). The new equalizer is superior to the DFE in rejecting interference when the longer code is used and the interference power is higher.
