Abstract :
This paper addresses the problem of controlling the motions of a cargo-carrying vehicle where the cargo can "move" ("rattle") with respect to the vehicle. Two methods of modern control design are used to develop controllers that "minimize" the cargo movement ("rattle") during vehicle motion.
